I would just like to know how long I should be waiting as I have had an application in for becoming a mod for at least 6 months now, and I am getting SICK and TIRED of waiting.
So mods how long did you have to wait?
Also when and who chooses the mods?

You may have to wait up to a year or more. After a Year then I believe Jake cleans the list of applications up. This is due to the fact some of the applicants have left. The Mods choose the Mods when the time is done. There is an election and the list is sent to Jake. Jake approves or denies the list (the process starts all over), when Jake approves the list and then those users are appointed to be Mods.

Spud, not everyone who applies to become a Mod are asked to join the Moderating team. There are many factors taken into consideration besides an application. Some of those factors are how one relates to other members, demonstrating the ability to be diplomatic when needed, being fair, and having a positive, friendly, and respectful attitude towards the current Moderating team and other members of the site.
Since this question has been answered by two Mods, I am locking it.
